PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS

When making a booking Gullwing & co  will require a deposit of 50% of the value of the booking to secure your vehicle.

The Company will THEN issue its receipt and detailed confirmation of the hire.

The customer is responsible for checking the details contained in the confirmation and for bringing any errors to the immediate attention of the Company.

The deposit fee is strictly non-refundable except in circumstances where the Company, due to causes beyond its control, cancels or, at its absolute discretion, agrees to cancel the hire.

No booking will be deemed as confirmed without a deposit being made to secure the car you have selected. To make a booking please go to our "contact us" page and complete the form provided to receive a quotation.

 

Please do not pay  before you have received confirmation that the car requested is avialable for the day and time required

We unfortunately do not allow smoking or food inside any of our cars.

Please provide specific details of your stops and route when booking to prevent any problems or delays during your trip.

Our main priority is your safety and the safety of the driver and vehicle, we thus strictly prohibit any weapons of any kind to be allowed into our vehicles.

Gullwing & Co reserves the right (and delegates to its Chauffeurs the right) to refuse to carry in any of its vehicles any person who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and / or whose behavior is considered to pose a threat to the Chauffeur, the vehicle or the other passenger(s).

 

You are welcome to bring along your own wine or refreshments, when booking for a wedding or tour or any other assignment unless stipulated otherwise.

If times and dates change after a booking has been made Gullwing & Co cannot guarantee that we can accommodate you but will endeavor to accommodate you to the best of our ability.

Please note that should any personal belongings be left in our vehicles the company will not be held responsible.

Please note that in certain instances if there are any delays on your part you may be charged for additional time.

In the case of Matric dances we do not collect the partners unless prior arrangements have been made in this regard.

Gullwing & Co cannot be held responsible for any loss caused by damage, theft, fire or any other cause whatsoever.

Our usage policy states that we only cater for packages for a minimum of 2 hours.We do not rent out vehicles for a single hour or part thereof, with the exception of hotel and airport transfers.

In this instance passengers are billed for the trip duration or per person as stipulated in the quotation.

 

We offer a break down service, that should in the unlikely event that one of our vehicles is not be able to complete the require journey we will try to accommodate you with another vehicle in our fleet.

Whilst we regularly maintain and service our vehicles owing  to our cars being classics there is always the outside chance of unforeseen complications.

Our primary priority will always remain to get the bride or our customers due to catch a flight to their destination on time. In the unlikely event of a breakdown it is imperative that the passengers remain seated and follow all of the Chauffeurs instructions, we do not want passengers exiting the vehicle and being a danger to themselves and the other passengers.

In the event of the booked vehicle being unavailable due to breakdown/repairs, we will then substitute the said vehicle with another equivalent vehicle, prior to booking and will notify the customer of any changes.

All refunds are at management discretion. Cancellations must be in writing. The person who ordered the service is liable for the final payment and all payment must be settled in full 4 days prior to the scheduled rental date.

 

AIRPORT TRANSFERS:

For airport transfers please consider the load capacity of the vehicle, although the vehicle may be able to take 4 passengers we may not be able to accommodate all passengers and their luggage.

If you have booked an airport transfer or a pick up at a hotel, we require 24 hours notice of any changes.

Failure to provide the stated times for any flight delay or cancellations will result in full payment. A full charge will also be levied in the event that you do did not arrive on the flight as was communicated to Gullwing& Co. 

If your flight has been cancelled, re-scheduled or diverted to another airport only the deposit value will be retained and the difference will be refunded.

A full charge will also be made after 2 HOURS of waiting at the Airport including the payment of any additional hours required If the terminal is crowded.

If you can't see your driver, please make sure to call us on the number provided on your booking confirmation.

The company will use every reasonable means to ensure that the vehicle(s) arrives on time to begin the hire and that it reaches its destination on time.

The company will not incur any liability whatsoever in the event of any delay due to causes or circumstances beyond its control.Unless instructed otherwise by the customer, the Chauffeur will follow the route considered the most appropriate on the day of travel.

Vehicles are insured for passenger and third party claims. However, whilst every care is always taken, customers' personal property is carried entirely at their own risk and no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage thereto. Customers are therefore advised to ensure that they carry adequate and relevant travel insurance.

Gullwing & Co reserves the right (and delegates to its Chauffeurs the right) to refuse to carry in any of its vehicles any person who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and / or whose behavior is considered to pose a threat to the Chauffeur, the vehicle or the other passenger(s).The Company will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse directed at its Chauffeurs or other staff.

If a customer has a complaint about any aspect of the Company's performance, full details may be given in writing, within seven days of the date of completion of the hire date.
